This last week has been a doozy!
We've been working extra hard to get all those perms, haircuts and hair color done before Christmas. Everyone wanted their hair done early this year, save for the shampoo/set ladies. I guess most customers don't want those "fresh haircut" pictures being taken. Anyway, we've had a very tight schedule with little to no room for walk-ins.
On Thursday, it snowed. A lot. Well, a lot for southwest Mississippi. About 4 or 5 inches of snow. Our friends near Brookhaven (18 miles north) said they had 9 inches of snow.

That photo was taken on Thursday night after most of it had melted away.
The streets were all slushy and icy. Hubby called and asked me if I was planning on going to work. I told him that I needed to go get my appointment book to call the customers to see if they planned on coming in.
Did any of our customers cancel for Thursday? Well, no they did not. I think most folks were looking for an excuse to get out and wander around. I drove about 5mph to work and had no problems except for tree limbs falling from the weight of the snow and one lunatic passing me on a busy street lined with parked cars going at least 30mph. He ended up skidding into the curb. He also stuck his middle finger up at me as I crept by him. Lovely. At least he didn't hit a car.
Here's a photo of Son's snowman. We have laughed about the leaves sticking all over it. Son said that's 'cuz we live in the "dirty South". Heh.

Today, we have a 30 percent chance of showers with a high near 73...which means hubby will want the a/c on later this afternoon. Stupid humidity.
