SB made it home from the hospital a week after his surgery. The doctors wanted him to go home so he wouldn't catch the flu or a nasty virus.
He was home for 4 days. Then he started hemmoraging. Bad. All the stitches came loose. His skin was so thin after all the radiation that it wouldn't hold the stitches.
He had another surgery to repair the busted stitches. The doctors saw something they didn't like and took a biopsy of it. We're still waiting on the results from that.
He is supposed to get 6 more chemo treatments. He doesn't think he will hold up for those. He is in a deep, dark, blue funk.
His mom paints a rosy picture. She tells everyone that he is doing just fine considering what he's been through. Maybe she's right.
His dad. Bless his heart. His dad tells a very different story. He cries. He is worried sick. He tells us that he's losing his boy. He tells us that his boy is wasting away and there's nothing he can do about it. He tells us that the surgery was a big mess and that he needed 9 pints of blood to get his blood pressure back in the semi-normal range.
SB is unable to talk to us. He needs to spend his energy and time healing.
I pray. And then I pray some more. SB needs all our prayers. Please help. Pray. And pray some more.
