Our mayor has suspended the acting police chief for two weeks stating that the acting chief didn't file his grievance properly.
The mayor said that city employees with complaints should follow a chain of command beginning with immediate supervisors. Guess who the immediate supervisor to the chief is? Uh huh.
How could the chief go to the mayor when the problem IS the mayor?
The tension has ramped up considerably. I sense an upheaval is forthcoming. And it might be sooner than later.
