We went to the Gulf Coast for Independence Day. Bay St. Louis was a beautiful little town. It still is despite all the destruction caused by Katrina. The people are what make the town beautiful.
I love it. If not for the occasional hurricane, I'd move there. Forever.
We went to the Crab Fest. Didn't eat any crabs because of this S.T.U.P.I.D. diet I'm trying. Gah. I have lost about 7 pounds so far, so at least it's working.
Every time I look at this photo, I laugh. They had such a great time.
We had a good time too. The breeze off the gulf was nice and kept us pleasant. We wanted to stay for the fireworks show in Biloxi, which was a traffic freakshow. It took hours to drive from Bay St. Louis to Biloxi on Hwy. 90. We left way early only to arrive just in time to see the fireworks from the car. Ah well. We probably should have just stayed in Bay St. Louis.
There's always next year.
